Year In Review 2025

2025 is almost a wrap, and while we’re busy as ever helping our clients solve their document management challenges we’ve also achieved some great milestones this year, which I am delighted to share with you in this end of year newsletter.

From new version releases for all our products, to new partners and new client deployments, you’ll hear all about it here.

I want to thank our long-standing clients for their continued patronage, many of whom have been with us for many years, and welcome our new clients to the dbs family, and of course thank you for taking the time to read this update. Docubase 6.2 (aka Sqalia Global XP) is officially in production and serving clients. This version of Docubase maintains all of its industry leading functionality in document capture, indexing, and searching, along with the enterprise grade security and performance that Docubase is known for. Plus now it features a totally redesigned user interface (UI) and is packed with exciting new features that are sure to keep it in its place as one of the most widely used Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems in the world. Docubase 6.2 is available today, and hosted clients can expect to be contacted by the support team to schedule their upgrade throughout the first half of 2026. On prem and self-hosted clients are encouraged to contact their support rep to confirm their eligibility and schedule the upgrade.

Our latest version of dbs Liveforms also packs a chock-full of new features that make any eforms and workflow use case a breeze. API enhancements now make forms flow seamlessly to SAP and other systems possible, and integrations with secure signature capture devices from WACOM and TOPAZ enhance its robust digital signature capabilities to support even the most demanding signature criteria. But perhaps the most impressive new feature in Liveforms is the form rules designer which can be connected to ChatGPT for designing rules using native language prompts. This paradigm shift in rules design allows non-technical users to create complex rules that were once the realm of experienced programmers, without writing a single line of code.

dbs eSign also benefits from  all of the new features in Nitro Sign Enterprise 8.2, including functionality and UX enhancements as well as API improvements.

There are a number of add-on modules available for Docubase that can help take your productivity to new levels. These include

• Advanced annotations to add stamps, annotations, and other graphics on documents prior to storing them.
• Workflow engine to route incoming documents to defined workgroups.
• Print driver to capture documents directly into Docubase by printing them.
• SSO authentication to allow users access to Docubase using your own authentication system.
• Document automation and advanced eSignature solutions for any use case, no matter how complex.
